Open the yard 8:00–8:15

Morning yard walk 8:15–9:00

• Every unit logged in the yard walk logContainer #, chassis #, spot, tires, chassis. Damage gets photos.

• Chassis: tag anything defectiveDefects go to the defect area with a DO NOT DISPATCH – company safety hold tag.

Chassis location report 8:15–9:00 · BlackBerry Radar

Open BlackBerry Radar (dashboard.radar.blackberry.com) and find each chassis. Set where it actually is. If Radar says it's in the yard, walk to it and confirm. The BlackBerry location next to each chassis fills in automatically from Radar. Tap it for the map. If Radar has not updated in 24 hours it shows NO UPDATE, so walk the yard and tick "GPS stale".

Yard walk log every unit, every walk

Log each container and chassis as you walk the rows. Check every tire and the chassis itself. Anything damaged: photograph it, and if it's a chassis defect, tag it and move it to the defect area.

Containers in the yard check in · check out

Check every container in when it hits the yard and out when it leaves. The per diem clock starts when the box is pulled from the port and runs until the empty is returned, so "days out" counts from the pull date. Red means past the per diem free time.

Port out-gate / in-gate dispatch · from the terminal

Enter the date each box was out-gated (pulled from the port) and the date the empty was in-gated back at the port. Per diem runs from out-gate to in-gate, so a box is not done until its in-gate date is in. Get dates from the terminal (GPA WebAccess / EIR). Leave a field blank to keep what is already there.

Port pool chassis rented from the port · Prince

Log every pool chassis we pull out of the port (SACP / CCM gray pool, DCLI, TRAC, Flexi-Van). These are not ours. The pool bills us every day from out-gate until the chassis is in-gated back at the port, even if the box is grounded in our yard. Return it the same day it's empty. Our 17 Milestone chassis do not go here. CCM gives no free days: the out-gate day counts as day 1, and the rate is $27.56/day plus about 7% tax since 10/1/2026 (was $26.50). Chassis # can be typed with or without the dash (SACZ-421922).

All day every gate move

• Log every gate in and gate outContainer #, chassis #, owner, loaded/empty, seal #. Date, time, driver, carrier, tractor, load or work order #. Who authorized it. Damage. Yard spot (in) or verified destination (out).
• Photos on every moveAll sides, doors, container ID, chassis ID, seal. Each damage spot twice: one wide, one close. Keep originals. Never climb equipment or break a seal for a photo.
• Chassis safety check before any chassis leavesBrakes · lights and reflective tape · wheels, rims, lugs, tires · air lines and glad-hands · kingpin · rails and frame · twist locks and pins · slider locks · annual inspection sticker within 12 months.
• Verified release on every outboundRelease comes from a known customer or carrier contact, not a number the driver hands you.

Break 1 11:30–12:00

• Hand off the gate before you goLethaniel leaves at 3:00 PM, so take this break before then. Gate closed while you're out.

• Defect area statusEach held chassis: repair requested, repair done, certificate received. Only Lethaniel or Julia releases a hold.
• Parking accounts past dueList anyone expired or unpaid and send it to Richard. Do not tow or lock out without his OK.

Yard reconcile 4:15–4:45 PM

• Physical count equals record countWhat left today, what came in, what is on the ground now. Any difference gets found before you leave.
• Update chassis that moved todayChange the location of any chassis that left or came back since the morning report.
• Every open item has a next step, owner and timeNothing left in your head overnight.
